Yes, there is still a disconnect between the perception of the leadership qualities of men and women. When a women fails spectacularly — like Carly Fiorina, deposed CEO of Hewlett-Packard — she’s excoriated. When a man fails he just goes on to another CEO position — like Robert Nardelli who was tapped as CEO of Chrysler after his disastrous stint as CEO of Home Depot. As John F. Kennedy said, “Life is unfair.”
